The objective of the Air Rescue Systems (ARS) Helicopter Short Haul Operations for Insertion, Extraction, and Rescue course is to provide high-level and comprehensive real-life training to rescue specialists that work in, around, and under helicopters that engage in human external cargo (HEC) search and rescue (SAR) operations.

Three Pilot teams (total 6)
Three Crew Chief/Spotters/Short Haul Operators (total 3)
Six to eight Ground Support Specialist/Firefighters
Maximum of 17 students
Two ARS Advanced Short-Haul Operations Instructors

Location:
We come to you. We plan to use your helicopter for training with you so you practice with what you will use in actual missions.
Equipment:
Training includes the use of all required rescue equipment for short haul operators, rescue crew and victim extraction. PPE (flight helmet, flight suit, gloves, and communications systems) not included.
Upon Completion:
At the conclusion of each training provided, the individual student and team as a whole are set to perform at unparalleled levels of precision, risk managed, indirect vertical reference short haul operations.
